LINKS Churches together in Eastleigh and Bishopstoke An ecumenical grouping of Christian churches within the Eastleigh and Bishopstoke area Diocese of Winchester Information on the work of the Church of England in our region, local and national Church news, resources for parishes, and a range of other useful items. Church of England This website offers a comprehensive introduction to the Church of England, including useful links and information on the activities of the Church. An invitation to Prayer This Church of England website suggests a number of Prayers and gives guidance on how to Pray. Community Outreach Group (COG) COG aims to promote the outreach of the church into the local community and beyond. The two main organisations we support are: Christian Aid Christian Aid works in almost 50 countries helping people regardless of religion or race to improve their own lives and tackle the causes of poverty and injustice. The Children's Society The Children's Society concentrates its resources on tackling the root causes of the problems that children and young people face. COG also aims to promote stronger links with the local schools, support to those involved in a range of voluntary work, caring, and ‘simply’ being Christians in the workplace. We also want to promote the role of the church in caring for the environment, and would welcome input from anyone with an interesting this.
